Overcoming fear and seeking refuge in God’s presence

Facing the greatest storm of his life, Paul Worstell leaned on his faith in God and the support of his family and friends to overcome a devastating illness that nearly took his life.

In 2013, Paul was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia that required two years of treatment and a stem cell transplant.

When a difficult childhood and an absent father threatened to steal his joy, the Lord’s presence and strength carried him through and taught him that God can be trusted, no matter what.

Against all odds, Paul is now completely healthy and free from cancer.
